Jobless, job seeker rates may mean people giving up
The jobless rate in Georgia fell in June, but that's not necessarily good news.

The jobless rate in Georgia fell in June, but that's not necessarily good news.
The rate fell a tenth of a point to ten percent. However, the number of people looking for jobs fell too. There was also a decline in the overall number of jobs available.
That could be a sign that more people are just giving up in the search for a job as any economic rebounds lose steam.
Augusta lost 1,700 jobs in June. Many of them were government jobs.
