AUGUSTA, Ga --- Goodwill of the CSRA is looking to hire at least 50 full and part-time employees for their new concept center off Washington Road near Fury's Ferry. The stores are scheduled to open in August, and officials hope to have employees hired soon.
More than a thousand people showed up at a job fair for the center. The fair was held at Warren Baptist Church. Though they can only hire 50, organizers say they still wanted to meet with everyone to see if there were other ways to help.
The building will feature the traditional Goodwill store, but will also include a new cafe setting, and large bookstore. Development leaders hope to hire managers and employees from all different backgrounds, to help make the new concepts a success. The building is modeled after the Goodwill center in Macon, GA that houses several of the same features under the same roof.
Even if you don't get a job with Goodwill, the organization has a big career program, and they'll be happy to help you find a job in the area.
