US Fibers announces new jobs in Edgefield County

EDGEFIELD CTY, S.C. – A company in Edgefield County has announced a future expansion that is expected to create 85 new jobs.

US Fibers, a recycler of PET Post Industrial and Post Consumer material, has announced it will be expanding the Edgefield County facility using a $10.1 investment.

The polyester recycling operation in Trenton will be expanding and will increase the facility’s capacity. It will help position US Fiber to enter new markets. They expect the expansion work to begin later this year.

"US Fibers is a great organization that produces recycled materials for industries across the board. This significant investment in Edgefield County is proof positive that South Carolina, and Edgefield County in particular, has a skilled workforce capable of leading the way in a 21st century economy," said state Sen. Shane Massey. "I appreciate US Fibers' investment, and I look forward to their presence in Edgefield County for many years to come."

Hiring for the new positions will being later this year. They will be making an announcement when the hiring process begins.
