NEWBERRY CTY, S.C. -- According to a release from the South Carolina Department of Commerce, the Caterpillar plant in Newberry is going to be expanded. The expansion will take place over the next several years and the company expects to grow by about 500 people.
The generator set facility was opened in 2006 as part of Caterpillar’s Electric Power Division. The Electric Power Division includes products branded with the FG Wilson, Olympian and Caterpillar names.
