CLEVELAND, OH -- It was announced today that Electrolux has chosen Charlotte, North Carolina as the location of its new North American Headquarters. At the new site, they will be consolidating a number of their U.S. Corporate office operations and support functions including the Augusta Major Appliances portion.
Last month, they announced they would be consolidating several entities beginning summer 2010.
According to the Electrolux spokesperson, the Augusta location will retain their Customer Care section which amounts to approximately 200 positions. Since they will be transitioning positions they do not have a count at this time for any jobs lost due to the consolidation.
