Augusta career fair brings hundreds of job seekers

AUGUSTA -- The Georgia Department of Labor held a career fair this morning at the University of Phoenix on Perimeter Parkway.
More than 450 people showed and applied for jobs from 46 employers. The employers weren't allowed to be a part of the fair unless they were hiring.
"You've got these guys that are 21, 20 years old, and I'm 45, and it's hard to deal with it," said Gary Hawes of searching for a job. "But I know that given that chance and opportunity, I'm just as qualified as they are."
