Career Expo planned for November 19

AUGUSTA, GA--The Georgia Department of Labor’s Augusta Career Center and the University of Phoenix are co-sponsoring a career expo on Thursday, November 19, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. until noon. The expo will be held on the Augusta campus of the University of Phoenix, 3150 Perimeter Parkway in Augusta.

The career expo is being held for employers, students and other job seekers in the CSRA. It will feature about 45 employers such as AAFES at Fort Gordon, East Central Regional Hospital, Georgia Pacific, Richmond County School System, U.S. Department of Agriculture and more.

Some employers will be hiring and others will be there to talk about future employment opportunities. There will be educational materials and other resources available for attendees.

If you plan to attend, you are advised to bring plenty of resumes and be prepared to complete applications and interviews for available job openings.
