AUGUSTA, Ga. --- Several people were out looking for a job Tuesday at the first annual Career Change Expo.

The career fair was designed not only for people looking for a new job but also people who are looking to make extra money by owning their own businesses.

Event organizer Helen Blocker-Adams says the jobs are out there and there are businesses still hiring.

"This type of a expo is important because a lot of people aren't necessarily looking for a job," she said. "Maybe they have been laid off and they are looking for something where they could have control of their own destiny by owning their own business."
