BLACKVILLE, S.C.---A Blackville plant is closing and over 300 jobs are going with it. Allied Air Enterprises makes heating and air conditioning equipment.

The company says it will start shutting down later this year, and the plant will be closed by 2011.

Some of the jobs will be transferred to other Allied Air locations in South Carolina.

The economic collapse and downtown in the housing market get the blame for the action.

This is another blow to Barnwell County, which is also losing two large textile plants this year.
