(FORT GORDON, GA) - The job market is a tough place to navigate if you don't have a map, but a job fair Tuesday, May 3rd could point you in the right direction.
The Georgia Department of Labor Augusta Career Center is teaming up with several veterans' organizations to host a job fair at the Army Reserve Center at Fort Gordon at the intersection of 15th and Lane Avenues. Just drop by anytime between 10:30 tomorrow morning and 2:30 Tuesday afternoon. We're told more than 50 companies will be there from all over our area. Some of the employers expected to participate are AAFES, Booz Allen Hamilton, Charlotte-Mecklenberg Police Department, CSC, Delta Airlines, Education Management Corporation, Federal Bureau of Prisons, General Dynamics, Georgia Department of Corrections, INTELLIGENESIS, JB Hunt, Kelly Services, L 3 Comms, Logistics Management Resources, ManTech, McNeal Professional Services, Military Hire, MOSAIC Technologies, Northrup Grumman, Premier Management Corporation, RLM, Sandersville Technical College, Strategic Resolutions Experts, T Mobile, TASC, Total Protections, URS, and Wal Mart.
The job fair planned with veterans in mind, but it is open to anyone who wants to attend.
