AIKEN, S.C.---Union workers and plant management at Owens Corning in Aiken were able to work out a contract, ending a strike that has been going on for weeks.
Union members told News 12 on March 4 they were negotiating for a three year contract but were unhappy with changes the company wanted to make to a pension plan.
Jason Saragian, spokesman for Owens Corning in Toledo, Ohio, said the strike ended Monday afternoon. Saragian said the contract improves competitiveness for the Aiken plant and is fair to the employees.
