NoWait app is on deck for Masters Week

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- During Masters Week, expect bumper to bumper traffic and long lines at restaurants.

"My wife and I happen to come to the Masters every year. We absolutely adore it. We always eat at the same restaurant and we always have to wait," said NoWait CEO Ware Sykes.

Sykes says visiting restaurants during Masters Week this year could go a lot faster.

"Restaurants will download the application. Consumers can log into the website and see where their place in line is," he said.

"It makes the hostess stand a lot more efficient, which is a struggle for us sometime," said Chilli's Area Director Trey Butterfield.

Butterfield says Chilli's has been using this new software for two weeks.

"This will be a great tool for us during Masters Week. It sends a great message to our customers that we're doing what we can to make your experience better," Butterfield said.

"Now we're using technology to generate reports that lets us know at a certain time we're losing this number of guests," Butterfield said.

NoWait is giving out iPods, iPads and training for two months to any restaurant interested in using the seating technology. Twenty Augusta restaurants have signed up so far.
