Safe Kids East Central and Georgia State Troopers want to give your child (and wallet) a boost. In the next couple of weeks, they will be giving out booster seats free of charge.
Stop by the Richmond County Health Department on Laney walker Boulevard Wednesday, July 27. Or, if you can't make that day, you have another chance Friday, Aug. 5 at Georgia State Patrol Post 25 and the Columbia County Health Department on William Few Parkway.
Both events are from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. To get a free booster seat, your kids need to be at least 4 years old, at least 40 pounds and shorter than 4'9". Your kids must also be present.
Experts will also be checking car seats for free to make sure yours is properly installed, and the health department will also be providing immunization boosters.
