We've gotten a lot of questions here at News 12 about stimulus checks, like "when am " going to get mine?"
Well, a lot of you won't, but you'll still see the money.
It will show up on a check you already get: your paycheck. You will see an extra 13 dollars a week for the rest of the year, once it kicks into gear.
It will drop to 7 bucks a week next year.
Some of you, however, will get a check. If you're collecting Social Security payments, you'll get a one time $250 tax-free payment for this year, regardless of your income. There's no word yet when those checks will come out, but the bill said it should be no later than 120 days after the legislation was signed. Retired government workers who don't receive social security will get a $250 tax credit instead.
