We all know clipping coupons can save you dough at the supermarket, but there are some more subtle ways you can lower your bill.
My mom always told me to make a list when I head to the grocery store and stick to it. She says that's the easiest way to save money. It does work, but here are three more things that could really change the way you shop.
1. Play it "Cool."
Before you leave the house, dress like you are heading out into the cold, even if it's warm outside. Why? Well, grocery stores tend to be a bit chilly, and guess what? Experts say, if you are cold, it will make you put more food in your buggy. Being chillier makes you hungrier, and hungrier people buy more impulse food, which leads me to number 2.
2. Snack before Shopping
Eat something before you go to the store. Eat a meal, or eat a snack, but eat something.Your wallet will thank you!
You can also save money just by knowing number 3.
3. Product Placement
Product placement in a grocery store is no accident.
Everything is set up to make sure you spend more money. So, the food at eye level tends to be the most expensive.
Take a look up or down, and you will usually find better prices.
Happy shopping.
