COLUMBIA, S.C.---If you live in South Carolina, your electric bill is going up..

SCE&G wanted the hike on the average residential bill to cover its higher fuel costs.

The average residential customer should pay about $6 more a month.

The state Public Service Commission approved the hike Wednesday afternoon.
