LILBURN, Ga. - The University of South Carolina Aiken women's basketball team remained a program-best third in the fourth 2012-13 regular-season USA Today/ESPN Division II top-25 Coaches' Poll.
The Pacers had been ranked fifth in the preseason and first regular-season poll. Two weeks ago, USC Aiken moved up to fourth before claiming the ranking of third last week.
Since being ranked for the first time in the 2010-11 season on Dec. 14, 2010, USC Aiken has now been ranked in the top-25 in the last 32 polls (school-record). The Pacers have been ranked in the top-10 in each of the last three years.
USC Aiken (6-0) is one of two Peach Belt Conference schools ranked inside the top-5 currently with Clayton State just one spot below the Pacers in fourth.
Ashland is still the nation’s No. 1 team. Bentley is just ahead of the Pacers in second. Indianapolis rounds out the top-5 in fifth.
