Senior Day at UGA special for two locals

It was a special day and win yesterday for Georgia at Sanford Stadium, not just because they took down their rival, Georgia Tech, but because it was Senior Day.

That included two locals that have made their mark on the last two SEC East championship teams.

Sanders Commings and Cornelius Washington really broke through last year, taking starting roles, and this year they've continued to contribute.

Now, their last home game is behind them, and it was a day to remember.

Commings said, "Playing my last game at Sanford Stadium, it really hasn't hit me yet. It was a great way to go out, beating Georgia Tech, our in-state rival. To beat them the way we did just feels great."

Washington added, "I'm happy. I got that win as a senior, my last game in Sanford Stadium. It's kind of bittersweet. Sometimes I did get a little bit emotional out there."

The players have one more SEC contest, in the Georgia Dome against Alabama. The winner heads to the BCS Championship against Notre Dame.
