Augusta, Ga--When the season started a lot of folks figured the Augusta area didn't have a clear cut top team. A month and a half in, we do and that team is Glenn Hills. As we've hit the region schedule, the Spartans are the only undefeated team left and may be only getting better.

That's because this year's Spartans have just one senior in Naquan Turner. Yes, he plays a huge role in their success, but everyone around him are pretty darn good as well. With a picture of their 2008 state title team hangin in the gym, it's a constant reminder of where these guys want to be

"I knew a couple of those guys on the state championship team" said Naquan Turner "Reggie Middleton and Jerel Stephenson, I look up to those guys and they know a lot about us, they taught us a lot."

"Because that was a good team" said Aubrey McRae "I know coming up through this school I want to repeat like them. They were something real special to the school so I want to bring that special thing back."

This year's Spartans also loaded up on tough non region foes and are still perfect. Despite that, coach Travis McRae says the guys are staying humble and are taking things one game at a time.
