AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- Augusta Commissioners sent a warning to other club owners on Tuesday night, voting unanimously to suspend Club Fiesco's liquor and beer license for 90 days.

"This commission will not tolerate you running your club any kind of way," said Commissioner Alvin Mason.

Club Fiesco's door will remain locked for at least 90 days.

Owner Daniel Magana says he plans to make changes.

"We will have more Richmond County deputies there. We'll bring in more security and that's the best we can do," Magana said.

Magana's club has also been cited for allowing minors inside. What happened on New Year's Day was much worse. Edward Yancey, 21, was killed in the club's parking lot.

"They're going to be closely watched. They need to follow the rules," said Commissioner Mary Davis.

"I have closed down clubs. I don't mind doing it if they are not going to take responsibility for the people who come into the club," Mason said.

Magana is not pleased with the decision.

"It's hard, it's hard, but what can you do?" Magana said.

Commissioners say he can start by following the rules.
