COLUMBIA COUNTY, Ga. (WRDW) -- The Columbia County Sheriff's Office is investigating two recent shoplifting incidents.

The first incident happened at the Circle K on Washington Road in Martinez on Jan. 17.

A black female wearing a navy blue tank top, jeans, flip-flops and a black scarf went to the counter and asked for cigars and a carton of cigarettes. The employee says when she turned around from the counter to get something for the woman, the woman took the items and ran out of the store. She left in a teal green Nissan Sentra.

The woman took a 12-pack of Budlight Lime-a-ritas, a bottle of Smirnoff Ice, a carton of Newport cigarettes, cigars and a 32 ounce Polar Pop.

The second incident happened at the Publix on Washington Road in Evans on Jan. 18.

Surveillance footage shows the black male and female concealing the items before leaving the store. The man is described as being heavyset with dreadlocks.

The two got away with $50 in Crest White Strips, $24 in lotion and $25 in Mucinex.
