GROVETOWN, Ga. (WRDW) -- A soldier has been arrested for allegedly shooting his wife in Grovetown on Friday.

Investigators say 32-year-old Zachariah Mcree and 28-year-old Heather Mcree were arguing over their pending divorce when Zachariah allegedly shot Heather. This happened around 3 a.m. on Grove Landing Circle.

Heather was taken to the hospital for her injuries.

Zachariah, who is employed by the Army, was arrested on aggravated assault and weapons charges.
