Send UPDATE: 77-year-old Richmond Co. man found

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- A missing elderly man has been located.

An off-duty firefighter in LaGrange, Ga., found 77-year-old Deryl Duane Owens shortly before noon on Sunday.

Richmond County deputies say the man had a kind of dementia similar to Alzheimer's. He had been missing since Saturday morning.

Officers are now working with the family to return Owens to Augusta.
