AUGUSTA, Ga. -- A possible neglect case involving an 82-year-old woman in Augusta has now turned into a homicide investigation.

Lillie Miller died at the hospital back in November. She had a long history of illnesses and used a feeding tube, but the coroner became suspicious after noticing symptoms that were unusual for a stroke patient.

The coroner says the woman's skin was so dry that it was flaking and that her nails were so long they were curling.

Investigators say charges for cruelty to an adult 65 or older could be coming by the end of the week, but there is no word on who would be charged in this case.
