Driver charged in death of motorcyclist in Columbia Co. accident

COLUMBIA COUNTY, Ga. -- Friends and family members are mourning the life of David Daniel Sheffield who died after a motorcycle accident last week.
Thomas Michael Brown, 78, has been charged with homicide by vehicle.
The Columbia County Sheriff's Office says Brown failed to yield while turning onto Wheeler Road last Tuesday. Officials say Brown hit Sheffield.
Sheffield was taken to the hospital but died from his injuries on Saturday.
