Send Scheduled blasting, controlled burn scheduled for today

COLUMBIA COUNTY, Ga. -- If you hear blasting or see smoke today, don't worry.

Columbia County EMA Director Pam Tucker has confirmed scheduled blasting will happen between noon and 1 p.m. in the Indian Springs subdivision off Chamblin Road.

Fort Gordon will also be carrying out a controlled burn of 200 acres in training areas 23, 24, 28 and 29.
