Send UPDATE: Man accused of robbing 2 Aiken banks surrenders

AIKEN, S.C. -- The man investigators believe is behind two different robberies at the same bank has been arrested.

Aiken Public Safety Officers arrested 32-year-old Clarence Junior Green late Friday night.

Green contacted the West Columbia Police Department after learning of his charges in connection to the Sept. 21 and Nov. 13 robberies of the South Carolina State Credit Union on Beaufort Street.

He then surrendered to officers at a West Columbia motel. Green is currently being held at the Lexington County Detention Center.
