Send UPDATE: No charges for driver in deadly Harlem pedestrian accident

HARLEM, Ga. -- News 12 has learned the driver in a deadly crash involving a pedestrian will not face charges.

Columbia County investigators say the man walked into oncoming traffic when he was hit by a truck in Harlem Saturday. It happened on the 3300 block of Gordon Highway at Sheryl Drive.

Deputies are waiting to identify the man. His body has been sent to Atlanta for identification. They say he may have been homeless.

The driver stopped when she noticed she hit someone but couldn't find anything. Deputies arrived and found the body in a ditch.
