Reports of damage, flooding following Saturday morning storms

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- The showers and thunderstorms continue to move eastward Saturday. StormTeam 12 reports some isolated t-storms developing behind the first system can't be ruled out Saturday afternoon.

Meanwhile, News 12 is gathering damage reports and flooding across the area:

COLUMBIA COUNTY:
EMA Director, Pam Tucker, reports:
-John Deere Parkway at Horizon South - Road flooding
-1429 Lone Oak Road for a report of house flooding
-Harlem Grovetown Road coming from Harlem just before Louisville Road has water running over the road at a high rate of speed
-1340 Royal Oak St in Grovetown - house flooding

County officials are closing Reynolds Farm Road to through traffic. The pond is overflowing approximately 1 mile from the Grovetown end.

Walnut Hill Subdivision - 2.72"
Clark's Hill Water Plant - 3.11"
Point Comfort Water Plant - 2.94"
Crawford Creek Water Plant - 3.20"
Little River Water Plant - 3.50"
Reed Creed Water Plant - 2.10"
Reports from Harlem and Grovetown were from 6 to 7 inches.

The Red Cross is helping the families on Rozella Drive in Augusta and a family in Columbia County.

Roads & Bridges reports no damage to roads, although Reynolds Farm Road is still being evaluated. Crews removed a tree that fell at Columbia and Hereford Farm Roads Saturday afternoon.

-325 Summer Pl, Martinez - large limb on lines and part of road

EMA officials remind you:
Do not try to drive through flooding. If you do not have to travel during the storm, please stay inside for safety. If you must travel, do not go through standing water turn around use an alternate route.

-Broad Street near Olde Towne - Flooding reported

AIKEN COUNTY:
-Richland Avenue & Beaufort Street - Flooding reported
