AUGUSTA, Ga. -- One person is recovering after an assault on Kaufman Road in Augusta over the weekend.

Initial reports from dispatch indicated the case was a homicide. Updates to those reports prove the victim is alive and recovering after being hit with a metal pipe.

Investigators were dispatched Saturday at 1:23 a.m. to a home on the 2500 block of Kaufman Road in reference to a fight.
