AUGUSTA, Ga. -- News 12 has just learned that a woman battling flesh-eating bacteria has been released from the hospital.

Aimee Copeland is now in a rehabilitation facility after spending two months at Doctors Hospital. The 24-year-old contracted necrotizing fasciitis after falling off a zipline and cutting her leg. She will now begin learning to move herself with the aid of a wheelchair.

Doctors had to amputate her hands, feet and one leg in an effort to stay ahead of the infection.

According to her father's blog, doctors initially only gave her a slim chance of survival.

We are told Aimee arrived in Atlanta just before noon on Monday.
