DALLAS, Ga. (AP) -- Authorities say a girl is accused of using items purchased online to pierce a classmate's belly button in a bathroom at their middle school.

Officials tell WSB Radio the 12-year-old Moses Middle School student said she learned how to do piercings by watching YouTube.

Investigators say they found a clamp used to pull back the skin, one used piercing needle, two unused needles, and 13 navel rings. According to an incident report, the student said her cousin ordered the items online.

The Paulding County Sheriff's Office was investigating the allegations. The student was released to her parents after being charged with reckless conduct.

The middle school is about 30 miles northwest of Atlanta.
