AUGUSTA, Ga. -- The Richmond County Sheriff's Office is now offering up to $5,000 for information in the murder of 16-year-old Kyle Royal of Augusta.

Deputies initially responded to reports of a traffic accident at Lumpkin Road and Mike Padgett Highway on Jan. 16 around 2 a.m.

"Upon arrival, deputies found Kyle Austin Royal deceased in the back seat of the vehicle with a single gunshot wound to the head," Lt. Blaise Dresser explained.

The investigation later revealed that Royal was shot while leaving the parking lot of Magic City, a local teenage club located on Mike Padgett Highway.
