UPDATE: Schools, organizations closing due to severe weather threat

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- Organizations and schools in the CSRA are announcing closures and cancellations for Wednesday due to the severe weather threat.
The following school districts have canceled all evening activities:
- Burke County
- McCormick County
- Richmond County
The following schools have canceled classes and evening activities:
- Augusta Technical College
- Georgia Regents University (both ASU and GHSU campuses)
All seven branches of the Boys & Girls Clubs in the area are closed. All parents of Boys & Girls Clubs members are asked to pick up their children at school or follow their school's bus drop-off instructions.
The Augusta Recreation, Parks and Facilities Department has canceled all programs and athletic activities for the rest of the night.
