BURKE COUNTY, Ga. (WRDW) -- Authorities in Sardis have confirmed two men were killed after a police pursuit overnight.
Police attempted to pull over a vehicle on suspicion of DUI, but the driver, 36-year-old Antonio Brigham, did not stop and led them on a chase outside the city.
They say Brigham drove recklessly and the chase ended after he crashed into a tree.
He, along with passenger 66-year-old Harold Hilton, died at the scene of the accident.
Neither of the men were wearing a seat belt.
The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the crash.
