Victim hit in head with pistol during attempted armed robbery at liquor store

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Investigators are looking for the men involved in an attempted armed robbery at a liquor store Monday night.

The incident happened around 7 p.m. on the 2000 block of Rosier Road.

The victim says two black males with dreads wearing all black came into Kim's Package shop and demanded money. He says one of the men hit him several times in the head with a black semi-automatic pistol. The gun was discharged during the altercation but no one was shot.

The victim says the two men then ran across the street toward Salem Arms Apartments. The victim was later taken to the hospital with multiple bumps on his head.

The robbers did not make it out with any money.
