Deputies looking for man accused of taking over $4,000 by force

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Investigators are looking for a man who they say took about $4,500 by force Thursday night.

The female victim said she and Serrano Griffin were walking to the BP on the 2100 block of Broad Street around 9 p.m. when he grabbed the money out of her pocket.

She said Griffin threw her on the ground during the altercation for the money. Griffin is said to have taken everything but $30.

Griffin is a 25-year-old black male who is 5'8" and weighs about 250 pounds. He is said to have black hair and brown eyes.
