AUGUSTA, Ga. -- The coroner tells News 12 that 30-year-old Anthony Dewayne King was the victim in Friday night's shooting.

The shooting happened on the 700 block of Crawford Avenue after 11 p.m. Saturday.

Jeremiah Kelly, 15, and William Clark, 16, were wanted in the shooting and according to their families, turned themselves into the Richmond County Sheriff's Office on Saturday afternoon.

Richmond County deputies responded to a call regarding an attempted car jacking with shots being fired. When they arrived at the scene, they found a white Cadillac Escalade wrecked on Barnes Lane behind Platt’s Funeral Home.

They found King in the driver's seat with a gunshot wound to the chest, according to Lt. Blaise Dresser. We're told he was transported to the hospital where he later died. Because he was also involved in a vehicle accident, an autopsy will determine the exact cause of death.

Investigators say evidence has led them to believe the shooting happened in front of the funeral home, but the crash occurred in the back.

This investigation is in its early stages and no further information will be released at this time, according to Lt. Dresser.

This is Richmond County’s 19th homicide for 2012.
