UPDATE: Man dead after overnight shooting in Thomson

THOMSON, Ga. -- A man is dead after a shooting on Dell Drive around 10 p.m. Sunday.

The victim, 33-year-old George Drumgold, was pronounced dead at 12:45 p.m. on Monday.

Drumgold's body will be taken to the GBI Crime Lab in Atlanta for an autopsy.

The Thomson Police Department and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation are working together on this case.

While they say progress is being made in the investigation, they do want as much information as possible.

The shooter has not been identified at this time.
