AUGUSTA---Charl Schwartzel has won the 75th Masters Tournament at Augusta National Golf Club.
The 26-year-old South African finished at a 14-under 274 for the tournament, two strokes over Adam Scott and Jason Day. He shot 6-under today, finishing with four straight birdies.
Schwartzel's final scores were 69 for Round One, 71 for Round Two, 68 for Round Three, and 66 for Round Four. Augusta National is a par 72 course.
Tiger Woods was in a group at 278, failing to capitalize after shooting 31 on the front side. The 54-hole leader, Rory McIlroy, fell apart on the final day.
This is Schwartzel's second year participating in the Masters. He finished tied for 30th place in 2010.
Schwartzel won the 2010 and 2011 Joburg Open and the 2010 Africa Open.
