Sunday in Augusta. The final round at the Masters and everyone is talking about what will happen. The weather calls for winds, but will they be strong enough to impact the play?

At the top of the leaderboard we see a lot of young players. Coming into the 2008 Masters, the combined total appearances by Trevor Immelman, Brandt Snedeker, Steve Flesch and Paul Casey was 12 Masters Tournaments. Then there is the experience of Tiger Woods with 13 and Stewart Cink with 10.

The young guns are playing well below their averages after three rounds. Immelman has an average of 223 and was at 205; Snedeker has a 223 and is at 207; Flesch is at 208 with a previous average of 218; and Casey is 9 under his average of 218 at 209. And Tiger is consistent with an average of 212.5, he’s at 211. But will it make a difference that in his winning years his average through three rounds is 203.75?

The lowest score in the final round is 64, the last time was David Toms in 1998. That is 8 under par, enough for someone to move up and take the lead? At the Masters, patrons know that anything is possible. Just ask Jack Burke who came from eight strokes back to win the 1956 Masters.

Masters patrons around the world will watch today to see who will win. Will it be one of the up-and-coming young players? Or can experience prevail and make a run for the Green Jacket? Or maybe, just maybe Mother Nature will win.
