The first day of tournament play for the 2008 Masters is one for the history books, but it isn't because of something that happened on the course.
Some new eyes got to see the the foggy start and dark finish and everything else in between.
Today kicked off the first ever Jr. Pass Program. It allows kids, ages 8 to 16, to come to the masters for free, as long as they come with a patron.
It's one child per badge, and that badge has to be to registered patron. If you buy a badge from a scalper, this will not work for you.
The idea is to expose the game of golf to a younger generation, since kids typically don't usually get those coveted tournament badges.
Some worried, though, it would be too crowded, but today proved otherwise.
Every single patron we talked to today loved the idea.
