AIKEN CTY, S.C. --- The motion asking a judge to jail three former James Brown trustees has been dismissed.
Last week, Louis Levenson, the attorney for five of Brown's children, filed a motion with the court asking the Judge Early to find Buddy Dallas, Alfred Bradley and David Cannon in contempt of court and put them in jail for allegedly withholding documents in their possession, even after a court order said they must turned everything in their possession over to the state.
Turns out, those documents were turned over last August when Judge Early ordered them to be released. On Monday, Levenson notified parties involved in the hearing that the motion has been dismissed.
The James Brown hearing does pick back up tomorrow, November 25th at 9:30AM in the Aiken Co. Courthouse. News 12 expects to have a crew in the courtroom and will bring you the latest as it develops.
