AUGUSTA, Ga.---This weekend there will be a celebration for James Brown, including a concert and exhibit presented by The Augusta Museum of History on Saturday.

The city has donated $75,000 for the James Brown Exhibition.

The concert starts at noon at the Augusta Common, and performers include The Doobie Brothers, Soul Generals, Branford Marsalis, Modern Skirts, and the Swanee Quintet.

Nancy Glaser, the director of The Augusta Museum of History says the exhibit and concert are great for the city.

"We wanted to do something for the CSRA because we feel that both the concert and the exhibition is going to add major tourism to the area and that is one of our goals, to add to the economy of the area."

Tickets are available at all Circle K locations, Bi-Lo's, Wife Savers, and The Augusta Museum of History. They are $35 in advance and $45 the day of the show.
