AUGUSTA, Ga.---An article in the April issue of GQ magazine claims James Brown had a vasectomy in 1985. His youngest child, James Brown II, was born in July of 2001.

A vasectomy is a voluntary surgery to stop the flow of sperm through the vas deferens. The surgery can be reversed, but there's no indication from the article about that.

James Brown II is the son of Tomi Rae Hynie Brown, who claims she was the singer's last wife.

The family has been in a court battle over the estate, money and heirs since Brown's death December 25, 2006.

If the child is James Brown's then why doesn't get the DNA test already!!! She must have something to hide.

I hope Tomi Rae gets what she wants, tests for all the children before they age another minute. This has been hard on everybody involved, but it has to hurt the children (all the children) most. Please stop their suffering and get this over with. I watched Mr. Brown, Tomi Rae and James, II, together. They were loving and attentive to each other when I saw them. I would be very happy to find out James, II, is his son for sure. The child reminds me of both of them. Which is at it should be if he is truly his son. Why allow more time to pass for more misinformation to spread?

Biological or not, James Brown considered this child his son. Just goes to show what death and money will do to some people. You never know how many folks "love" you until you die. And Tomi Rae was his partner (legal or common law) and was there for him and supported him and his career. Shame on those who want to out her and her son. If James Brown did not want them around, I am sure he would have said so while he was alive and would be "rolling over in his grave" at what his children and attorneys have done to this woman and little child. Shame Shame Shame.
