EDGEFIELD CTY, S.C.---From Crime Team 12, a Johnston man is facing sex charges for crimes against a nine-year-old girl.

Deputies arrested George Jones Wednesday.

Investigators discovered the assault after the girl was taken to a hospital this week for a medical examination.

Jones is now in the county jail in Edgefield.

Is it possible that there is a increase in child molestation cases or we just hearing more about them. It's kind of scary to think that our children aren't safe at all.

This is just sick!!!! A child cant even be a child anymore. This is exactly why I talk to my childern about people other than doctors are not aloud to touch in any way.And then I am right there when a doctor is doing any exam. I think schools should consider teaching this is elementary about not letting anyone do things like this and maybe they will know what is wrong or right and that even if its your OWN mother or father it is wrong and get help ASAP.

i think this guy should put under the jail house because no man should put there hands on any child not if there they own not the child have to live with this the rest of there life its not fair that a child or anyone have to go through this it just not right for anyone to help him out .

he should go to jail for life. this is not the frist and will not be the last. the mother had to know of this before and never reported it, they both need to be place in jail.
