MURFREESBORO, Tenn.---A four-year old Georgia girl missing since last Friday has been rescued in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, about 30 miles southeast of Nashville.
Madison Kerr was taken from her home in Cumming, Georgia last Friday by her non-custodial father, Jerry Jones. He is a registered sex offender who was wanted on four counts of child molestation.
Police spotted his vehicle Thursday, leading to a high-speed chase that lasted about 30 minutes before the auto driven by Jones collided with another vehicle.
The girl was taken to a hospital with a small bruise on her foot. No one else was hurt in the collision.
Jones is now being held in a county jail in Tennessee. Charges are
expected in both states.
