AUGUSTA, GA - The Atlanta Falcons are reaching out to some local kids.

Well, one Falcon in particular is.

Wide receiver Roddy White (#84) has chosen Choices-A LifeTime Development, Inc, a local children's community group, to be his charity.

Because of him, as many as 300 kids from our area will get to go to Atlanta and go to a professional football game.

They'll be known as "Roddy's Rockstars."

Kids who attend the game will wear shirts with the Falcons logo on the front and the name "Roddy's Rockstars" with #84 on the back.

Organizers at CHOICES are now looking for volunteers to help with transportation.

Errol Thomas, co-director, pleads with any individuals, business leaders, or religious organizations who might be willing to assist with transportation, or funding for fuel or snacks for the various games to contact him at (803) 646-6048 or via email at thomas@choicesltd.net.

This is just the type of program which captures the attention of our youth. I really hope the community understands how important organizations like this one are to the welfare of our society.

This is a great piece that you have showcasing one of the greater moments in the careers of players. This is not the typical store we hear about and its great to know that the media is willing to report the positive as well.
