AIKEN, S.C.---Around here, it was a beautiful day to be outside in the sun...especially for the more than 50 dogs who got their paws wet at the SPCA Dog Wash at Cold Creek Nurseries in Aiken.

Today was the second dog wash of the summer, and it's been going on for the past 15 years. Volunteers say it was a fun day and they're thankful the community came out to support them.

"This has been an exceptional day," said Linda Strojan with the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. "So we hope to have somewhere around 75, 80."

That's a lot of dogs to wash!

A dog wash, nails, and ears cost $20. All proceeds will be donated to the shelter to help with operations.
