ATHENS, Ga. (AP) -- Renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma is set to give a solo performance at the University of Georgia.
The university's performing arts center has announced its schedule for the 2011-2012 season, including the performance by Yo-Yo Ma on Jan. 11. The Grammy winner is set to perform Bach's Suites for Unaccompanied Cello.
As part of its Celebrity Evenings series, the performing arts center will feature the six-time Grammy-winning Irish band The Chieftains on Feb. 24 and best-selling author and radio host Garrison Keillor on April 23.
Other artists slated to appear for the upcoming season represent a mixture of music, dance and theater.
Subscriptions for the season are on sale now and single tickets for individual events go on sale at the end of August.
